SAWi 2011 Wine Legend - Hempies du Toit
The South African Wine Index (SAWi) is working hard to ensure that South African wines are highlighted and showcased, and has created a list of finalists of superb wines using a system that takes into account a quality overview points score derived from multi-national, multi-vintage wine awards. The aim is to acknowledge the amateur as well as the experienced with acknowledgement of excellence. In a gala event at the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa on the 22nd of August, a trophy, top cellar, top wine, wine maker, and farm manager of the year as well as the SAWi Wine Legend Honours will be announced. A list of SA Grand Wines will be announced after the awards, regardless of participation in the index.
