You’ve obviously heard of High Tea, but have you heard of a Low Tea? Turning this popular restaurant institution on its head, Greenside’s Odd Café has started a foodie revolution called TASTE and its first event went back to basics. The Low Tea is stripped down to essentials: a selection of herbal teas were served from a mobile garden with a range of fruits and spices, allowing guests to make up their own herbal tea. Dishes served include the Open Sandwich Royale (rolled cucumber with mint and cottage cheese, dusted with biltong), a selection of meringues, truffles, flat breads, mini desserts and mouth-watering cakes.
